Have no fear Interpol is here!

I generally find international organizations to be useless for an actual work beyond moral preening. This story is one of the reasons:

Interpol issues wanted notice for Qaeda Iraq chief

Well rest easy Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is as good as caught now! Interpol has a sent a notice to 184 countries asking them to arrest al-Zarqawi if they come across him. I guess this means his planned vacation to Fiji is out.

It's the idiocy beyond this type of crap that drives me nuts. My thought is the thousands of US Marines looking for this guy are more likely to lead to his capture than some international bureaucrat sitting in the south of France issuing a piece of paper.

Stupid, ineffective preening, that's all this and most international institutions are.
